evolution of a room

i think its most difficult to design for yourself.

my master bedroom has never had a clear direction and it has changed over the past three years here and there

my master bedroom is also my least favorite room in my house & thats an awful feeling

the next two pictures are from early 2008...

matchy matchy is the only way i know to describe what is below

but i didnt know what i wanted to do

the next two pictures are from sometime in 2009

by this time i realized the matching bedding was a bit much and

began using a white coverlet with the bedding at the end of the bed

but cluter was always on the dresser

and the furniture was still matchy matchy

the two pictures below show what the bedroom looks like now

still a work in progress... but i'm slowly getting there

i honestly still don't have direction and don't ever set out to work on this room

i see random things when i'm out shopping for other projects that end up here

but the matching mirror to the bedroom furniture is gone and i LOVE that it is gone.

in its place is artwork brought home from overseas by my husband

my favorite quote is over our bed

i love the white coverlet on our bed

the desk on one side of the bed still needs major help & a lamp

and the nightstand on the other side needs a new shade

and the pillows need some variation
